Young And The Restless Beth Maitland’s Co-Stars Hit Back After She Is Attacked Online

Stars of “The Young and The Restless” are standing by Beth Maitland, who portrays Traci Abbott, and offering her support after she received rude comments from fans regarding her new storyline.

There are those who love “Trane,” but there are also those who do not. Although it is understandable for fans to voice their opinion, some have crossed the line when they posted rude comments about Maitland.

Maitland’s character, Traci, has a new storyline, which focuses on her spending more time writing. She’s also being paired with Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard). As Traci re-explores her passion for novel writing, she develops a sweet friendship with Cane, who recently broke up with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).

Traci takes it up a notch when she imagines Cane shirtless and sharing a passionate kiss with him. Some “The Young and The Restless” fans loved the idea of pairing up Traci and Cane while others didn’t.

Eileen Davidson, who plays Ashley Abbott, gave three simple bits of advice to Maitland whenever fans start to be mean. She suggests, “BLOCK, BLOCK, BLOCK and just move on.” She added, “Beth you’re amazing. When you come across a troll I have three words.”

Eric Braeden, who is known for his role as Victor Newman, also came to Maitland’s defense and tweeted, “@BethMaitland is one of the kindest people I have ever met and A DAMNED GOOD ACTRESS!”

Maitland also hit back at her online bullies and said: “I respect everyone’s right to their opinion. I respect tolerance, kindness, an open mind, and exceptance. I don’t respect meanness so much. Thanks Lisa for returning us to reality. I do what they write. I’m an actor. And I LOVE representing real women with true hearts.”

Of course, Maitland was quick to thank her fellow “The Young and The Restless” cast members for their support. She replied to Davidson’s tweet and said, “love you, Ei. Thank you…Just thought the rest of us could use some encouragement.”
