Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on what matters most on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) express their gratitude for each other and generosity to others through the charity dinner offered at Crimson Lights.

Meanwhile back at the rebuilt Newman Ranch, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) are spending time with ‘Niktor’ and Y&R’s most infamous clan. Yes, the so-called turkey day is intriguing for this pairing known as ‘Chick’ who may, or may not make it through to the new year.

Some people feel jittery about their favorite soapy couples as they’re developing. ‘Shey’ took awhile to form and then they broke up rather quickly.

But Rey’s initial trepidation about being with Sharon was mostly related to what he endured with Mia Rosales (Naomi Gonzalez). After he ended that duo, Sharon came next.

They found their way back to each other rather quickly and appear solid heading through Thanksgiving toward the Christmas season. Both people are at good places in their lives and compliment the other half. ‘Shey’ also sports the likability factor, which counts.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Chick Has Much Less Jingle

As compared to Sharon and Rey, Nick and Chelsea have far more problems. In fact many daytime fans would be hard-pressed to state the odds of ‘Chick’s’ survival because of what’s been happening with Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) recently said that he doesn’t like Nick. No news there. Nor is it enlightening to say that Adam remains a threat to ‘Chick’, but it is a very relevant plot point.

Chelsea and Nick are growing apart because Connor’s plan to reunite his parents by telling them about his every ailment is working. Chelsea values her son more than the rebooted relationship she has with Nick, which may prove to create their next split.

Grossman’s character realized a major step toward his reunion goal by having Connor move into the penthouse with him. Now that Chelsea as followed, supposedly for a few day stay, the one-time ‘Chadam’ could revive.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Future Forecast Mixed

Great soap is never fully predictable, which is partially why enduring drama sustains an audience. So, Chelsea and Nick could suddenly become engaged by Christmas, or Egan’s character and Adam might reconnect romantically by New Year’s Eve. This part of the forecast feels more dark, than light.

As for Sharon and Rey, they project into a couple, right? Maybe not, but it would seem that Y&R’s year-plus tease of this pair will likely be given a chance to shine.
