The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will turn to Detective Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) for help to find out who tampered with her “late” husband Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) medication! Here’s what you need to know.

Young & The Restless Spoilers – How Many Times Has Victor Newman “Died”?

Regardless of whether this is Victor’s fifth faked death or whether he really has passed away, since Nikki and probably the rest of the Newman family with the possible exception of Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), who has been busy with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and hasn’t been answering her phone, know now that Dr. Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) results have come back on the blood tests, Victor’s medications were tampered with. That is a chargeable offense, and if Victor really is dead this time then murder can be added to those charges!

Y&R Spoilers – Everyone Suspects Adam Newman

Of course, the person with the most motive, means, and opportunity to kill Victor would be Adam Newman (Mark Grossman)! Nikki remembers him messing around Victor’s suit coat and a set of drawers where the medications were kept. Although in this case Victor did have them in his suit coat pocket so they would be easily accessible to him. Nikki will likely point this out to Paul, along with the fact that Victor’s symptoms started becoming worse after she had witnessed Adam lurking around his suit coat! Adam did indeed tamper with Victor’s pills. He had a dubious pharmacist make up double dose pills, but who knows what else may have been in them? This is an experimental medication, so where would she have gotten it? Likely off the black market, and one can never trust the ingredients in black market drugs!

Young & The Restless Spoilers – Dr. Nate Hastings Suspected Adam Newman In The Theft Of His Hospital Tablet

Dr. Nate Hastings suspected Adam in the theft of his hospital tablet, which contained Victor’s medical records. How Adam got into the tablet or who he may have had hack in may be irrelevant at this point, but it’s not difficult to arrive at the conclusion that Adam wanted the tablet to get at his father’s records for some reason, and now that Nate has proof of medication tampering from Victor’s blood tests, it’s pretty easy to correctly put two and two together. Adam erroneously thought it was Victor who tried to run him over that night on Route Seven, when actually it was Dark Billy (Billy Abbott’s alter) and he accused Victor of it, angrily knocking over a chess set when Victor denied it! Nikki will tell Paul all of this and he will agree that Adam had the means, the motive, and the opportunity to poison his father by tampering with his medication and to kill him!

Y&R Spoilers – Detective Paul Williams Will Certainly Set Up An Investigation And Follow Up

After hearing all of this from Nikki, Paul will certainly set up an investigation and follow up with looking for and gathering any other evidence besides that shown in the blood test, possibly even fingerprinting the area where Adam was seen near Victor’s suit coat in the Newman ranch house. He will likely interview Nate about the disappearance of his tablet and any other Newman family members who may have witnesses untoward actions of Adam against Victor. There is a saying that every dog has his day, and the dog named Adam Newman is long overdue for his!
