“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Monday, April 29, tease that a very special Y&R episode will air. The CBS soap is honoring Kristoff St. John (Neil Winters) with a tribute to his amazing life and career. This tribute includes several costars of the past and present, so let’s look at all the details.
First, Y&R features St. John’s photos as cast members discuss what like the beloved actor was like. There’s also a clip of St. John accepting a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Young Actor in a Drama Series. Next, Victoria Rowell (ex-Drucilla Winters) remembers when St. John was first brought on the show as her love interest. Shemar Moore (Malcolm Winters) also reflects on auditioning and being starstruck.
Christel Khalil (Lily Winters) is up next and she admits it was like working with her actual dad. Their father-daughter bond was like the real thing. Bryton James (Devon Hamilton) speaks about feeling safe with St. John and notes that he brought a certain energy to the set.
Over with Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott), he reflects on getting to know St. John over the course of 37 years. Mishael Morgan (ex-Hilary Hamilton) gets choked up during her comments praising St. John. It’s clear that he meant so much to the people he worked with. Daniel Goddard (Cane Ashby) speaks about St. John’s legacy and the icon status he achieved in the soap world.
After Eileen Davidson (Ashley Abbott) talks about her own experience working with St. John, she notes that he was always so focused on everyone else. No matter what St. John was facing in his own life, others were a priority for him. Sharon Case (Sharon Newman), Joshua Morrow (Nick Newman), Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman) and Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) also think back on St. John as a shining light.
Other cast members included are Jason Thompson (Billy Abbott), Jess Walton (Jill Atkinson), Marla Adams (Dina Mergeron) and Amelia Heinle (Victoria Newman). Y&R clearly wanted to let those whose lives St. John touched have their say. “The Young and the Restless” fans won’t want to miss all the flashbacks and behind-the-scenes footage as well.
Doug Davidson (Paul Williams) has some sweet words from a passage St. John gave him. He reads to the audience before Lauralee Bell (Christine Williams) expresses hope that St. John’s up there with her father, Bill Bell. Once St. John’s costars finish their praise, St. John himself sends out an “I love you.”
“The Young and the Restless” spoilers say the drama will heat back up next week, but it was certainly nice to stop and appreciate St. John’s accomplishments. Y&R viewers will want to check out this “In Loving Memory” episode. We’ll give you updates as other news and rumors emerge. Stay tuned to see what’s next in Genoa City.
