The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) has decisions to make that will affect his family’s perception of the past, ability to live more fully in the present, and create new opportunities for the future. While major choices have already been made, more are likely to follow.

Y&R fans were delighted to see a series of imagined retrospective scenes that featured the Abbott’s in their younger days, meaning before the show debuted in 1973. Those invented flashbacks filled backstory that hadn’t previously existed.

Now, as 2020 approaches, Jack and Traci Abbott’s (Beth Maitland) book is progressing. That effort projects to more secrets being unearthed and a further deepening of Jack’s personal history.

Is Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) experienced enough to run Jabot on his own? Not quite, which is why Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) became the initial co-Chief Executive Officer, along with Kyle, at the company.

Billy’s decision to step down from his post is part of an effort to maintain personal stability. That sparked Jack’s choice to ask Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman) to become the joint face of the linked Jabot – Fenmore companies.

It was somewhat surprising that Jack didn’t retake hold. His choice continues the more mellow paths he’s taken the past few years.

Y&R Spoilers – Dina Mergeron Remains Key To Backstory

Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams) needed to enter a memory care facility so that her Alzheimer’s diagnosis could be effectively managed. That’s worked well for her and the Abbott’s, as she’s no longer a danger to herself, or others and is receiving compassionate care.

However, Y&R hasn’t written Dina off to oblivion. Instead, the recent discovery of Theo Vanderway’s (Tyler Johnson) biological connection to the her hints at more discoveries that can be made.

While Jack may not find previously unknown other family members in Genoa City, Wisconsin, he’s likely to explore how his relationship with Dina impacted his early life as an adult.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – To The Victor Goes The Spoils

Jack and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) bonded before the death hoax and have continued to not agitate each other since. Bergman’s character was sincere when telling the Moustache that he was impacted by the supposed loss.

If Y&R truly wants to prove that Jack is making twilight of life progress, then a bold move would be allow a continuance of whatever he and Victor are developing.

Why not have them further their truce in a way that would be somewhat similar to way in which Jill Abbott Atkinson (Jess Walton) and Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) interacted with each other during the Grande Dame’s later years? Now that could be good soap.
