The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Christmas 2019 is a good time of year for many in Genoa City, Wisconsin. While the famous residents of this fictional setting have endured much drama, they also have plenty to be thankful for and to wish for as the holiday arrives.
Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) has returned to the family business his family founded, which serves as a contrast to a decision Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) recently made. The Moustache surprisingly turned over the reigns to Vickie Newman (Amelia Heinle), which isn’t something she was sure her father would do when bravely making her pitch to head Newman Enterprises earlier this year.
Jabot is actually being led by two people, with Jack and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) serving as temporary co-Chief Executive Officers. If all goes well, Kyle will soon take over. Meanwhile, over at the Newman conglomerate, Vickie is doing fine all on her own, but will need to wish for more in her personal life in the near future.
Kola is the cute nickname for Y&R’s arguably most endearing couple. Kyle and his wife, Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle) are newly married.
They’ve been living in a cozy apartment above Crimson Lights, but are wishing for a home of their own. How soon their intended new location will also be filled with children might involve how other people influence their actions.
Summer Newman (Hunter King) wishes that she could be back with Kyle. That’s not currently possible. However, the other half of what was Tummer, Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson), is wishing that he could be with Lola.
Kyle wishes for peace at work, as he hopes that Theo burns himself out. As for Lola, she’s the love his life. But there’s no doubt that fondness for Summer persists.
On the surface, all seems good for Villy. Vickie surely thinks so, as her face lights up whenever she sees Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).
But Thompson’s character isn’t as cheerful. He’s trying to deal with old pressures that are affecting him in new ways.
The little voice inside Billy’s head hasn’t diminished his love for Vickie, or their children. His conscience is also pushing him to do what’s right. Yet, continued interactions with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) extend voluntary temptation.
Hardcore Y&R fans know Victor and Jack’s history. Mostly bitter, with scant moments of clarity. However, this year has been different.
Both men actually came to see each other in a softened light. While not friends, they are able to coexist during these twilight years of their lives.
Family matters and business issues are generally good, which fuels their truce-like moods. Light-hearted viewers are wishing for continued goodwill between two of the show’s all-time greatest characters, who are played by fabulous actors. That realized Christmas wish would be grand.
