The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) involvement with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) wasn’t intended, but projects to continue. As long as Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) continues to remain unsettled his parents will have no choice but to continue working closely together.
Chelsea feels naturally compelled to help her child, but has been unable to seize upon a solution to his increasing mental health issues. Now, as the principal at Walnut Grove Academy injects another wrinkle into the storyline, Chelsea and Adam are uncertain about their son’s educational future.
Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) seasoned advice was arraigned by Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). That was a good get, as Chelsea needed to hear a neutral, third party’s advice.
The suggestion that Connor may not be best suited to a traditional school environment wasn’t well received by Chelsea when the head of Connor’s school was the messenger. However, his behavior has apparently been disruptive, which means that something needs to change.
Morgan’s newest character suggested that an alternative approach, such as home schooling, could work. Chelsea digested the conversation that she had at Crimson Lights with Amanda and then passed it along to Adam at the penthouse.
Meanwhile, back at Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) home, Christian Newman (Alex Wilson), is missing Chelsea and his cousin, who’s actually his brother. Viewers know recognize that the departed Sage Newman’s (Kelly Sullivan) child, who she had with Adam, isn’t seen nearly as often as Connor.
Nick has referenced Christian on occasion. The plan was for those two, Connor, and Chelsea to form the Chick family. While engagement hadn’t happened, it seemed increasingly likely until Adam double-dosed Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) medication.
The above scenario served to eventually write Chelsea to the penthouse, where Chadam once lived. Now, Nick is trying to remain patient as he worries that the woman he currently loves is slipping away.
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) was outraged by Adam’s request that she pursue Nick in earnest. Basically Adam hit truth hard and Phyllis didn’t like it.
Whether Stafford’s alter ego follows through depends on Nick. He clearly feels more comfortable with Phyllis than at any point since he booted her from his home earlier this year. So Phick could soon supplant Chick, thereby making a Chadam sequel all the more likely.
