The Young and The Restless spoilers tease that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will set some boundaries for her ex-husband/current roommate Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) in upcoming episodes of The Young and The Restless!

Young & The Restless Spoilers – Chelsea Lawson Moved In With Her Ex-Husband Only To Support Their Disturbed Son

As viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall, Chelsea only moved in with Adam to support and care for their emotionally disturbed son, Connor Newman (Judah Mackey). Connor has been traumatized, and has been exhibiting some pretty serious acting out behaviors, such as saying there is a monster in the house, or a monster inside him, and prior to moving in with Adam, he had hit a younger boy at school, and locked his younger brother Christian Newman (Alex Wilson) in a dark garage, and screamed, and broke a lamp in his room and lied about it, saying it was an accident when he plainly was having a rage reaction and took it out on the lamp! This was long before he was caught up in a hostage situation at The Grand Phoenix with his parents and almost saw them killed in front of him!

Y&R Spoilers – Connor Newman Is Probably Manipulating His Parents

Most children from broken homes want Mommy and Daddy to reconcile and they all live together as one happy family, and Connor is probably no different. He has found a way to keep the monster away by chanting “Mom, Dad and Me – you can’t beat three!” Chelsea’s boyfriend, however, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) who is also Adam’s half-brother, has been losing patience with the whole situation and is seeing through Connor’s manipulations. Chelsea, of course disagrees with him, and Nick also thinks Adam is manipulating her and using Connor to get back together with her.

In a recent episode of The Young and The Restless, Nick had a talk with his sister Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) who told him flat out that Chelsea can’t have it both ways – it’s either she’s with Adam, or she’s with him. So, just to make sure that there are no misunderstandings by Nick, Adam, or even Connor, Chelsea knows she’s going to have to set some boundaries with Adam.

Young & The Restless Spoilers – Adam Newman And Chelsea Lawson Have Not Slept Together Or Even In The Same Room

Connor is only six so he probably doesn’t make a distinction between whether his mom and dad are sleeping together or separately, but it could be a problem if he decides he is having nightmares and wants to sleep with his parents when they don’t sleep together! But Chelsea sets boundaries with Adam, if necessary she can set some with Connor so he knows that Mommy and Daddy are not getting remarried!

First she will set the boundaries with Adam, however. She won’t want anyone harboring any illusions or hope that because she has moved in with Adam, that she would ever go back to him as his girlfriend or his wife, or that their relationship could ever become romantic or sexual again!
