‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Billy’s Troubles Aren’t Over – Amanda Here To Stay

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) believes he’s gained control of his mental and emotional issues. But as his therapist advised, a true fix doesn’t come easily.

There’s no reason to be fully pessimistic, or to think that Billy is naive. He has stabilized his life in recent months, sought the above-referenced help, and calmly chose to leave Jabot because he thought it wasn’t best for his family, or future goals.

Most importantly, the Dark Billy alter ego hasn’t been fully seen in awhile. There’ve only been a few brief instances where a stick of gum, or some other element seemed to momentarily trigger Thompson’s recovering character.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Bar Setting Takes Billy Abbott Back

Recovery was the key to the point Billy’s therapist was making. He’s working his way back to normalcy and shouldn’t assume victory because that could set him up for a setback of immeasurable proportions.

The performance Thompson gave during the throes of Billy’s breakdown, especially at the boat house, was masterful. It’s fair to put those scenes with the best of this actor’s tenure since he became Billy in January 2016.

As viewers prepare to see Thompson’s character work into his fifth calendar year an intriguing wink to the past takes place. Billy Miller (Billy) often visited a dive bar, which is where Thompson’s edition goes now.

Y&R Spoilers – Amanda Sinclair’s Storyline Developing

Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) is a very intriguing edition to the Genoa City, Wisconsin, setting. She’s a ringer for Hilary Hamilton (Morgan’s initial Y&R role). So, that connection is sure to be explored.

On first blush it feels unusual to have Billy, in particular, come to Amanda’s aid at the bar when another patron treats her roughly. Wouldn’t Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) be written into that scene? Well, no.

Amanda may prove to be Hilary’s identical twin sister over time, or not. But she’s not Hilary. That’s why her own storyline is developing.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Tomorrow Mixed With Yesterday

Thompson is playing the adult version of a character who’s been portrayed by three other actors since 2008. Morgan is the first person to play the attorney who was written into the show as part of the Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) will hoax.

Billy is a legacy character, who dates back to the 1990’s. If Amanda proves to be Hilary’s sister, or some form of relative, she will only be connected to the start of Hilary’s run that began in 2013.

So these two characters run into each other at the bar. That meeting appears to serve as the spark of something that will entwine Billy and Amanda together.
