It’s been a long time coming, but it looks like everyone’s favorite character is finally coming home to Genoa City! There are new reports that say producers for The Young and the Restless have finally found the right actor to play Adam Newman, who was last portrayed by Justin Hartley. Here’s what you need to know.

According to Soaps in Depth, Adam will be back very soon! Actor Matt Grossman will be taking over the role and from what we know already, he will have some secrets that he will reveal.

The last time that Adam was in Genoa City was back in 2016 when Chloe framed him for murder. It will be interesting to see if he will set the record straight about what happened or if he will be back to seek revenge on those who did him wrong.

Adam Newman has always been the black sheep in his family. He escaped to the woods with his wife, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan). However, it didn’t take long for Chloe to find him, tranquilize him and blow up the cabin in the process. Adam was presumed dead.

Back in 2018, Chelsea briefly reappeared and was found stealing money that she was apparently taking for Adam at the time. But Adam was nowhere to be seen.

Before she left Genoa City, she made a phone call to an unknown person, with a lot of people speculating that she might have called Adam. Clearly, Adam Newman is alive and hiding. It’s only a matter of if and when he will show his face back home again.
