The Young and the Restless spoilers document that the Abbott family’s story deserved to be preserved for future generations. The book project that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) is completed. And with that, Jack’s memories of his life played out for hardcore fans and newer viewers alike to see.
Jack recalled many special moments he’d enjoyed with loved ones, as well as tense times, all of which produced excellent daytime drama. He, like other members of the Abbott family appear to have a bright future. But each important part of this classic group will need to take advantage of the blessings they’ve been given and maximize the success that’s been earned in order to make their next chapters memorable as well.
Jack and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) have battled a lot the past few years. He coldly included a blood Abbott clause in Jabot’s bylaws that blocked her from taking control of the company.
Dina Mergeron’s (Marla Adams) memory helped spark a brief break in the family and its business. Ashley took patents that John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) intended Ashley to have many years ago and founded My Beauty in Paris, France. Yet, the siblings recently reached an agreement to merge both companies into one, creating an enhanced Jabot.
A separate thought must also be offered in Adams’ regard. Her work in Dina’s ongoing storyline ranks with the most meaningful and touching in recent show history. Kudos to her and everyone at Y&R for this special arc.
Traci’s life changed when Colleen Carlton (Tammin Sursok) tragically died ten years ago. She later divorced her husband, Steve Connelly (Greg Wrangler), who published Traci’s first book.
The heartwarming storyline that saw Traci paired with Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) ended surprisingly. Traci’s fondness for Cane grew while she projected a version of him as a character in her first historical fiction book. However, when he was later open to exploring a relationship, Traci said no. Now, Goddard’s exit from the cast means that Trane revisited won’t be possible.
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) appears to have a grip on his serious mental health issues as the old year closes. Here’s hoping that the misery he’s suffered, which directly related to Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) return, isn’t revisited.
Villy was and remains a couple many Y&R fans enjoy rooting for. Billy, Vickie, and their children deserve better days ahead.
Abby Newman’s (Melissa Ordway) success in opening Society and taking the risk of partnering with Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) in starting the Grand Phoenix, are doubly impressive. Far past her heiress days, Abby is making her Abbott family proud.
Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is married, happily in love with Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle), and now is the co-head of Jabot. It would be nice if Kola creates the next Abbott generation, but Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) may have something to say in that regard as well.
