The Young and the Restless star Doug Davidson (Paul Williams) has revealed a very heartbreaking loss. The actor took to his Twitter account to share the news that his fur baby has passed away. Here’s what you need to know.

According to Doug, his beloved cat died from cancer. He shared a photo of his furry family members and captioned it with, “We lost our boy to cancer on Wednesday. He was a brilliant soul who helped me through some incredibly difficult times. May God rest his soul.”

It didn’t take very long for Doug’s fans to share their condolences with the daytime television star. Some of them posted comments such as, “Very sorry to hear this, Doug. But you can tell he was well cared for and loved, and he knew it! May the wonderful memories of a loyal companion stay with you always,” along with, “So sorry, Doug. I feel your pain as I lost my sweet cat, Pebbles, on May 6th to cancer as well. The unconditional love we receive from our pets makes their loss so devastating. Wishing you peace and love during this heartbreaking time.”

Another fan wrote, “I’m so sorry Doug! We love our fur babies. You were so supportive when I lost my beloved Corgi Comet. I’m so sorry for you and your family.”

His character Paul Williams is in high demand in Genoa City these days, as there are several dramatic storylines going on at once!
