the Good Doctor Spoilers: Can Shaun Find Real Love?

The Good Doctor returned on Monday, January 14 and the fans cannot wait until Dr. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore) finds love. While many thought Lea (Paige Spara) was the woman for him, but she only wants to be his friend. So, what’s next for the talented, young, special needs doctor?

Shaun Is Ready

Dr. Murphy wasn’t interested in a romantic relationship until recently. He never understood why someone would be interested in being in love. After experiencing how wonderful it was to have Lea around, he finally understood.

Shaun thought Lea might be interested in a relationship with him. He asked her and she told him she didn’t want to screw up their friendship. Heartbroken, Shaun understood and he told her they would always be friends.

New Love?

The spoilers suggest that Shaun will get a new love interest before Season 2 is over. It doesn’t reveal if his love interest will be Lea or someone new. The only thing we know is that Shaun will find love and it will be someone he wants to pursue.

Complications Ahead

One of the complications Shaun will have in building a relationship is his lack of communication. He struggles to express his feelings and that will be a huge issue for a stable romance. Murphy has made great strides in learning to be more expressive and communicate better, but with his autism, it will always be a problem. His best bet would be to find someone who will understand him. Someone who will understand why he is distant at times. If he can find that, Shaun has a chance at true love.
