The Bold and the Beautiful star and the Young and the Restless alum Heather Tom took to social media to address a rumor that she was returning to shove Amelia Heinle out as Victoria Newman. The soap vet wanted to clear the air so no one thought that Amelia’s job was in jeopardy.

B&B Star — Heather Sits In The Directing Chair

Tom has been branching out quite a lot as a director. She has directed multiple episodes of Bold and the Beautiful and General Hospital. But she hadn’t had a turn at Y&R yet. That was until this past week.

The episode she directed will air mid-July. She posted a picture of the script cover on Instagram. Even though it was clear from her post that she was directing, still some social media pot-stirrers decided to assume that if she was coming back to Y&R, it must be as Victoria Newman.

There was a time that the fans would have loved to see Victoria back on the show. It took everyone a while to get used to Heinle. But now, we love her a Vicki and no one wants her to leave the show.

Heather made sure it was clear in her post and explicitly said that she is addressing the rumors that she is coming back for Amelia’s job. She made sure it was clear that she is not after Heinle’s job, as she was only working with Y&R as a one-time director.

Even so, there were a few fans that were disappointed that she wouldn’t be returning as an actor. They had hoped she would reprise the role of Victoria. Heather pointed out that as an actor she loves the role of Katie Logan on B&B, and she had no plans to leave the show.
