Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) might be pulling another soapy rabbit out of his hat on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’. While Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) remains leery of him, she’s also impressed that he plans on keeping the adoption agreement in place.

Hope knows that Thomas genuinely loves Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) and now, might also be thinking that he wants the best for him. At least she’s willing to see how the immediate future goes. That, in and of itself, is the start of Thomas’ second chance.

The realization that Thomas allowed Hope to believe he perished in the vat at Forrester Creations was sobering. Noelle’s character recoiled the instant she understood what Thomas did.

However, the plan made twisted sense after he explained himself. It’s true that Hope and Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) were forcibly put into a situation that was similar to Thomas’.

As B&B fans recall, he forced the truth out of Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden). But then Thomas chose to keep the fact that Phoebe Forrester (Madeline Valdez and River Davidson) was actually Beth Spencer from Hope and others for months. In this orchestrated scenario, Hope and Brooke were only able to keep their secret for approximately twenty-four hours because Thomas purposely came out of the shadows in Hope’s second-floor room in her mother’s house.

Hope remains committed to caring for her own child. But she’s also selflessly agreed to become a legal part of Douglas’ life.

Committing to two children isn’t something Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) wants for the mother of his second daughter. He will actually be caring for three children, with Kelly Spencer (Zoe Pennington and Allison Marcia Sweeney) being his older daughter.

Douglas shared his dream with Hope. He was with her and his dad. Both parents were holding his hand while they were on a ride.

But Douglas’ dream included an important reality, as Thomas later told him that Hope was his official new mommy. The legal term custody was explained, which was a sad necessity sparked by Caroline Spencer’s (Linsey Godfrey) untimely and unusual death earlier this year.

Hopefully Thomas was telling the truth about how Caroline passed and about what he intends for the future. B&B fans know that he wasn’t being honest during the Beth-Phoebe debacle, as Thomas purposely kept that information from Hope. That starkly contrasts with the legitimate shock Hope and Brooke felt when they thought he had died, thereby helping to explain why they didn’t tell Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) the whole story.

A major key in gauging Thomas’ truthfulness will continue to be his approach to fatherhood. His son should feel safer because Douglas has at least one parent he can count on now.
