Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) is dealing with the aftermath of what happened with Thomas. Convinced his body dissolved in the chemical vat, the young woman believes she killed him. The only person she has told is her mother, Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang).

Meanwhile, everyone else thinks Thomas has disappeared. Ridge doesn’t know if he will ever see his son again. It makes him feel fearful, worried and angry that he couldn’t make things better for Thomas.

A few weeks ago, actor Thorsten Kaye told Soap Opera Digest that Ridge blames himself for Thomas’ issues. He feels responsible and continually defends Thomas due to his guilt. It is the same reason why Ridge is working so hard to fix his son and how everyone perceives him.

He brags about the young man’s designs and is still working on repairing Thomas and Steffy’s relationship. He even went as far as to leave the home he shares with Brooke so he could focus 100 percent on Thomas.

Ridge is fretting about where Thomas could be and if he’s okay. It’s a parent’s worst nightmare to have a child vanish without a trace. Despite Ridge’s agony, Brooke doesn’t offer any support. She hopes that eventually, Ridge will just forget about his troubled son.

Brooke knows information about what happened that night at Forrester Creations. But she isn’t saying anything to her husband about it in order to protect Hope. Still, Ridge has a right to know that there was an accident.

Besides, if the roles were reversed, Brooke would be livid and unforgiving if Ridge didn’t tell her that Hope had an accident and the body went missing.

B&B spoilers indicate that Brooke’s cold and harsh reaction to Thomas’s disappearance will hurt Ridge. He needs someone who will understand the worry and pain he is feeling. He needs to be able to talk about it and have someone give him a shoulder to lean on.

Brooke can’t be that person for Ridge anymore, not where Thomas is concerned. So, he goes to one of the only people who seems to understand. That individual is Shauna and her compassion toward Ridge is exactly what he needs right now.
