“One Life To Live” and “The Bold and the Beautiful” alum Andrea Evans has landed a new acting gig in an upcoming movie called “Joy & Hope.” She’ll take on the role of Joan Elkhart.
The new movie is penned and directed by Candice T. Cain and is produced by Amy Minter. The other cast members include Abigail Hawk, Chris Own, Alix Kermes, Stink Fisher, and Andrew Rogers.
The story focuses on Joy and Hope McGregor run Two Sisters Ranch upstate New York with their dad and longtime friend. A handsome stranger, who’s a writer, comes to town to overcome hi writer’s block. As he tries to find inspiration to help him write, he comes to realize how special Christmas on the ranch is.
Andrea Evan’s Life and Career
Before becoming an actress, Evans joined beauty pageants. She then moved to regional theaters and commercials. After graduating high school, she attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Before landing the role of Tina on “One Life to Live,” she appeared as an extra in the 1978 Brian De Palma film called “The Fury” and landed a gig in the miniseries called “The Awakening Land.”
After leaving “One Life to Live” in 1981, she joined the cast of “The Young and the Restless” as Patty Williams. In 1985, she reprised her role as Tina on “One Life to Live” and got nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Ingenue in 1988. She appeared on the cover of Soap Opera Digest five times and Soap Opera Digest from 1986 to 1990.
In 1990, she left “One Life to Live” and wasn’t seen on screen for nearly a decade. It was later revealed that she had to go into hiding because of a stalker who tried to kill her.

During the 1990s, she appeared on two feature films called “A Low Down Dirty Shame” and “Ice Cream Man.” She returned to television in 1999 and joined “The Bold and The Beautiful” as Tawny More. She also landed the role of Maureen McCormick on “Passions” and stayed with the series until it ended.
She returned to “One Life To Live” in 2008 and left before the year ended. She also returned to Y&R back in 2010 but not as Patty Williams but as “The Bold and The Beautiful’s” Tawny. She continued to make sporadic appearances on OLTL until the series ended in 2011. In 2012, she appeared on the film “Hit List” and was also cast in the web series “DeVanity” back in 2013.
