The Bold and the Beautiful star Darin Brooks plays Wyatt Spencer on the CBS soap. In his personal life, he and Kelly Kruger are expecting their first child together, a little girl. The actor recently spoke about becoming a first-time dad.
Right before the couple found out they were expecting, Kruger experienced mood swings. In an interview with CBS Soaps in Depth, Brooks recalled one particular fight.
“Her hormones were raging in January/February, right before we found out. We got into a little argument about nothing. I was eating French fries at the time, and she threw them at my face. I said, ‘I’ve never seen you act this way. I think you’re pregnant!’”
They soon discovered how right Darin was. After trying to conceive for nearly two years, the couple was finally expecting a little bundle of joy.
The B&B actor grew up with a brother, so he is looking forward to raising a daughter. He plans on being on board with everything pink and frilly, too! He told the magazine that he is looking forward to having tea parties and attending dance recitals. He is also prepared for a “pink, frilly unicorns-and-rainbows world.”
Brooks and Kruger, who have been married for three years, are preparing their home for the baby. Their two home offices have been turned into one, they have figured out car seats and learning about baby care. However, Darin confessed he is still needs to get his “swaddle” on. He says of Kelly:
“She’s a nurturer at heart, and anybody who knows her knows how sweet and caring and giving she is, which shows me the kind of mom she’s going to be. I’ve seen her strength through this whole pregnancy.”
The Bold and the Beautiful actor joked that he wants to document everything in the delivery room. He teases Kelly, saying he will have a GoPro on a selfie stick and he will just put it “down there.” He doesn’t just like to kid around with his wife either. He plans on making fun and embarrassing his little girl — as well as her future boyfriends.
