Once Upon A Time In Hollywood: Trailer Shows Brad Pitt’s Knock-Down, Drag-Out Fight With Bruce Lee

Quentin Tarantino’s latest box office offering has Brad Pitt getting into an all-out fight with Bruce Lee and Leonardo di Caprio crying tears of joy when a little girl tells him that he’s one of the best actors she’s ever seen. Pitt plays a stunt double for Caprio’s character Rick Dalton in the much-anticipated film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

The film is set in 1969 Los Angeles, as a former Western star and his longtime stunt double struggle to find success in a Hollywood that seems to have long forgotten them. The film also stars Australian-born actress Margot Robbie as Sharon Tate. Al Pacino, Dakota Fanning, and the late Luke Perry also make appearances in the film.

In a teaser trailer, both Pitt (Cliff Booth) and DiCaprio (Rick Dalton) can be seen sitting down in an interview about their long-time partnership on the big screen.

Film Focuses On Hippie Culture In 1969 That Led To Charles Manson’s Cult

Actors are required to do a lot of dangerous stuff,” DiCaprio’s character trailer explains in the trailer. “Cliff, here, is meant to help carry the load.”

Pitt’s Cliff Booth agrees. “What, carrying his load? Yeah, that’s about right.”

The film focuses on the Los Angeles’ hippie-crazed culture of 1969, which also saw the rise of Charles Manson’s cult. In August of 1969, actress Sharon Tate, who was married to director Roman Polanski at the time, was murdered by members of the Manson family inside her home along with four other people.

Quentin Tarantino Worked On The Film Script For Five Years

The movie has been a project in the making for many years.

“I’ve been working on this script for five years, as well as living in Los Angeles County most of my life, including in 1969, when I was seven years old,” Tarantino said in an interview with Variety Magazine. “I’m very excited to tell this story of an L.A. and a Hollywood that doesn’t exist anymore.”

Quentin Tarantino both directed and wrote the film. The director said back in 2016 at the International Jerusalem Film Festival that he plans on retiring from Hollywood after his tenth film. This one is his ninth. Once Upon a Time In Hollywood will hit theaters on July 26, 2019.
