Grey’s Anatomy’s Chandra Wilson Returns To General Hospital For Nurses Ball

Chandra Wilson, who is known for her role as Miranda Bailey on Grey’s Anatomy, is set to appear on General Hospital as Sydney Val Jean, Crimson Magazine’s East Coast fashion editor. She will appear on the soap on May 17, a day after the Grey’s Anatomy Season 15 finale.

This is not Wilson’s first time appearing on GH. It is her third time to book a gig on the soap, and her return this year is just in time for the annual Nurses Ball.

Instead of seeing her in scrubs, Wilson will be donning a sequined gown, and she will be co-hosting the Nurses Ball along with Michelle Stafford’s Nina Reeves.

General Hospital News – Last Appearance Was In August

Wilson was last seen on GH in August 2018 when she played Dr. Linda Massey, the therapist who counselled Jordan, Curtis, and Stella. But her very first appearance on General Hospital was in January 2014. She played as Dr. Kevin Collin’s (Jon Lindstrom) patient, Tina Estrada.

Wilson has been on Grey’s Anatomy since the series debuted way back in 2005. She had no problem taking guest roles on General Hospital, as both shows are taped at ABC Studios.

In an interview with Soaps In Depth in 2014, she revealed that she has been watching General Hospital for more than three decades.

“I grew up with it. It holds such a place in my heart,” Wilson said. “Even though we’ve shared the same lot for 10 years I can’t talk to anybody on the lot… it’s weird to see them because they’re supposed to be in Port Charles! I have that kind of fan disconnect.”

General Hospital News – 25 Years Of The Nurses Ball

Meanwhile, viewers and cast members of General Hospital will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Nurses Ball, which was founded in 1994 by Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring). In a statement released by executive producer Frank Valentini, he said that this year’s event is “special and personal.”

“We were able to incorporate original music and performances from a few of our actors, including James Patrick Stuart [Valentin Cassadine]. There’s a lot of heart in these amazing performances. You won’t want to miss them!”
