General Hospital William Lipton Gets Some Hometown Praise

General Hospital News: Cameron Webber (William Lipton)General Hospital spoilers tease that Will Lipton, General Hospital’s Cameron Webber is getting a little hometown praise from the locals in San Mateo, California where he attends San Mateo High School and lives with his family. Local ABC 7 reporter Kristen Sze recently did a TV interview talking about their rapidly becoming famous “homie” about his nomination for the Daytime Emmy as Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series. She talked to him about how he juggles school and acting.

She reports Will is a typical high school sophomore in many ways, taking his full course load at his hometown high school, and in that sense, his real life mirrors his TV life as Cameron Webber. As any teenager his age, he enjoys time with his friends, hanging out and talking. But unlike his high school buddies, he is a soap star in the making!

This is a follow-up interview to the first one she did with the talented young man on October 12, 2018, when he was 15. In that initial interview, he described his experience working on the show as “incredible” and praised his co-workers on GH as talented and amazing.

Even with the extraordinarily long commute between San Mateo and Los Angeles, where GH is filmed, he manages to keep up with straight A’s at school. San Mateo is a commute of 370 miles and over 6 hours on a good traffic day, and that’s twice a day, because his mom Johanna drives him, overnight sometimes, having to be in the studio at 6:45 am. The majority of his non-GH time is spent doing homework and in the schoolroom, although he does manage to find time to have fun with both homies and GH classmates. The family has no plans to move; so Will is one very extraordinary young man and possesses an extraordinary amount of dedication to both school and GH!

Will’s teachers and classmates describe him as very friendly, and he is also a talented musician, who started his first band at only six years old. His current band – yes, somehow he finds time for that too – WJM has a YouTube page where GH fans can also hear his music.

All Will’s family, teachers, and hometown friends are very proud of his Daytime Emmy nomination, and he was gigantically surprised to learn he was nominated. He describes finding out from his dad as “a wave full of amazing feelings”!
