General Hospital Spoilers: Why Some Fans Hate The Maxie And Peter Pairing

The pairing of Maxie West (Kirsten Storms) and Peter August (Wes Ramsey) causes some of the biggest arguments in General Hospital chat groups. Why are some fans dead set against this pairing? Can the writers change these fans minds?

No matter how many General Hospital characters, including Maxie, defend Peter and claim he is not to blame, some fans do not see it that way. Peter was Lulu Falconeri’s (Emme Rylan) publisher and had control over the story on Faison. He wanted Faison drawn out so Jason would kill him.

Peter knew he was Nathan’s half brother and encouraged Lulu to write the Faison articles. He was asked not to publish the article but released it anyway. One change in anything Peter did could have saved Nathan West’s (ex-Ryan Paevey) life. However, he made his choices and was partially responsible for Nathan getting shot.

General Hospital Spoilers – Peter August’s Mission Was More Important

General Hospital’s Peter had hidden in plain sight for months. He knew Lulu was interviewing with Faison’s son and the article was not on Henrik Faison (Wes Ramsey). What would it have cost Peter to pull Nathan aside and tell him he was his brother?

What would Peter have lost if he had chosen to have killed that article in the first place? He would have lost nothing but his chance to see Faison killed by telling the truth. Whether or not Nathan wanted to do that article was irrelevant, Peter knew the truth and chose to stay quiet.

Some fans of Maxie believe she deserves much better than Peter. General Hospital’s Maxie fans are very loyal to her. Some see Damien Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) as her soulmate and would love to see them reunited so Maxie can raise her daughter Georgie Spinelli (Lily Fisher). Maxie and Spinelli almost got married years ago, and Spixie fans have always hoped for a reunion. However, no matter who Maxie ends up with, Peter is not the choice that several fans would make.

General Hospital Spoilers – He Locked Up Jason Morgan For Five Years

Although General Hospital’s Peter evaded convictions of any crime, he helped Faison with several felonies. Fans who dislike Peter are not just about Maxie. Some fans hate him for keeping Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) locked up for five years instead of hiding him in Russia and tipping Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) off to his location.

Jason was away from his family for five years solely because of Peter’s choice to hold him until he could kill Faison. Call Jason fans Stone Cold, but Jason should and would have taken Peter out if not for his connection to Robin Scorpio (Kimberly McCullough) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).

Some fans will never accept Peter with Maxie no matter what happens. Fans tend to hold a grudge, and some fans would prefer Peter dead.
