General Hospital Poll: Who Do You Think Michael E. Knight Might Play?

General Hospital spoilers tease that when Michael E. Knight starts filming the new top-secret character for GH, there could be several possibilities. We want to know who you, the fans, think about it!

General Hospital Spoilers – Michael E. Knight Could Play Either An Older Character Or A Younger One

While Michael’s hair has aged, he still has the same baby face he has had for years; so depending on whether his hair is colored or left the way it is for this top-secret role, he could play either a young looking older man or a younger man as well.

GH Spoilers – Elizabeth Webber Baldwin’s Father, Jeff Webber

Even though Jeff Webber (Richard Dean Anderson) has not been seen on General Hospital since the original actor left the series to play the original McGyver in 1981, Elizabeth Webber Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) father has had plenty of mentions! Jeff first moved from Port Charles to somewhere in Nevada, and in 1997 he and his new wife, Carolyn Webber (uncast character) went overseas to Sarajevo and joined a “Doctors Without Borders” type organization to help in the war effort. At that time, they sent both their daughters, Elizabeth and Sarah Webber (Sarah Laine) to live with their grandmother, Audrey Baldwin (Rachel Ames).

Jeff is also the father of Dr. Steve Webber (Scott Reeves), who he fathered with Heather Webber (Robin Mattson) and Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) who he fathered with Naomi Dreyfus (Robin Riker). Considering the trauma that Elizabeth is going through with her husband Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) taking Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller) pre-2012 memories to save Cameron Webber (William Lipton), and Hayden has moved in with her, this would be a good time for Jeff Webber to return to Port Charles! Besides, General Hospital can always use another doctor!

General Hospital Spoilers – Dr. Steve Webber, Elizabeth’s Brother

Then there is Dr. Steve Webber. Most recently played by Scott Reeves, Steve Webber is also a doctor who went to prison on a murder charge in 2013, and was extradited to Memphis, Tennessee where he has been serving his time. He and Olivia Falconeri Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) were romantically involved prior to his incarceration, the murder charge having stemmed from the assisted death of a patient who was serving a life sentence for murder and in a coma by Steve, so he could use his organs for a fourteen-year old girl.

Police considered it murder since the assisted death was not requested, obviously, by the comatose prisoner. Steve, whose mother is Heather, is both Elizabeth and Franco’s half-brother, and this might be a good time for Steve to be paroled and come back to Port Charles. Again, General Hospital can always use another doctor!

GH Spoilers – “Tad The Cad” Martin

It’s possible that GH may be bringing Michael over as his original “All My Children” character, the one he is most famous for; the womanizing “Tad The Cad” Martin! Soap operas always create a lot of drama when they put a town with lots of unattached females with a lascivious Lothario!

General Hospital Spoilers – A Recast Nikolas Cassadine?

Again, Michael, with his baby face can play either a younger man or a young looking older man, so it’s possible the reason that the role is being kept top-secret is that most fans are rooting for Tyler Christopher to reprise his role of Nikolas, and Tyler has expressed interest! However, if Michael’s hair is dyed to its original dark brown, he might make a passable Nikolas.

GH Spoilers – A Recast Drew Cain?

This one would be iffy. It would be very difficult to make a Drew Cain recast acceptable this soon after the exit of Billy Miller. However, Michael is not set to start filming until after GH’s summer filming hiatus, which could be taking place now, and his first airdate could be as far out as November sweeps if they are recasting Drew, but for some fans of the Drew character a recast may be more acceptable than killing the character off entirely, which has been speculated.

General Hospital Spoilers – A Different Recast Cassadine

It’s possible that GH could be recasting a different Cassadine, one older than Nikolas, possibly one of Nikolas’ uncles to give Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) a run for his money (literally)! Stavros Cassadine (most recently Robert Kelker-Kelly) could be a possibility as could Stefan Cassadine (originally Stephen Nichols). Both are presumed dead, as Nikolas has been, but it’s possible that a different Cassadine is being seen with Cassandra Pierce (Jessica Tuck) than Nikolas, although it sounds like GH will be bringing him back as well.

GH Spoilers – A Brand New Character

GH could have a brand new character for Michael to play; possibly a new doctor, and it could be the “memory expert” that Dr. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) talked to Elizabeth about that he knew. Again, General Hospital can always use new doctors, and in particular, a neurologist since there is one mentioned but none cast.
