General Hospital’s Drew Cain (Billy Miller) might have been Alan Quartermaine’s (Stuart Damon) son and Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) twin brother. However, this does not make Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth), Drew even if he has his memories. Franco has hurt more than one member of Monica’s family. Monica is quite disrespectful by inviting Franco to a family dinner no matter who owns the house.
General Hospital’s Franco might have had good intentions by asking Carter (Josh Wingate) to look out for Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) as he claimed but that certainly backfired. Michael was brutally raped and taunted by Carter until Jason went to prison and took him out. Of course, without the rewrite of the tumor defense, fans know the other side of this story. Franco intentionally sent Carter after Michael at the time. Franco under any circumstance is the one who put Michael on Carter’s radar. Franco is responsible for Michael’s assault.
General Hospital’s Franco drugged Sam and Jason on their honeymoon. Franco stalked Sam and Jason. Franco kidnapped Carly. Franco allowed Sam to believe he raped her and she was pregnant with his child. Franco deserved for Jason to hunt him down and shoot him years ago. How can Monica overlook what Franco did to Sam and Jason and invite him to a holiday dinner? How can Monica overlook what Franco did to Michael as well?
General Hospital’s Drew was Alan’s son but no one knew about him. It’s not like Monica knew he existed and had searched for him for years. Monica nor Alan knew anything about him. Getting to know Alan’s child is one thing but overlooking Franco’s past because he has Drew’s memory is another matter indeed. Yes Monica has lost all of her children at one time. However, Drew was not hers. Drew was a grown man when he appeared. Monica thought Drew was Jason for two years. How did Drew because so important? Why does Monica need Franco at Thanksgiving dinner as Drew?
The most overused line on General Hospital. It might be Monica’s house but what about the feelings of the family? If Monica wants to be close to her family, why expect them to accept Franco as Drew even for a few days? Could Monica end up alone with Franco in her house because the family rebels against her decision? Is that what Monica truly deserves?
