As General Hospital viewers know, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) talked Lucas into throwing away the DNA results that Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) had dropped when he was being arrested in Friday’s episode of General Hospital.
Michael didn’t think they could be used in a court of law anyway, and besides, for all he and Lucas knew Shiloh could have paid some “Dawnie” in the General Hospital lab to make them say Shiloh was the birth father of Wiley Cooper-Jones (Eric and Theodore Olson), now nearly one year old.
Considering Lucas’ husband, Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) is the head of the lab at General Hospital, some GH viewers were surprised that shifty Shiloh would have had the DNA test done there, instead of at Mercy Hospital, where his and Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) baby was actually born, and where he had talked a nurse into violating HIPAA laws, laws designed to protect patients’ privacy against unauthorized persons getting their medical information. That, as General Hospital viewers will recall from previous episodes, is how Shiloh knew he had a son in the first place!
General Hospital viewers may have noticed that Lucas did not look real comfortable about tearing up the DNA test results and throwing it in the garbage in Friday’s GH episode, although he did it, with Michael looking on. He looked at the test in his hands several times and looked troubled as he tore it up, and after he threw it in the garbage can.
As was mentioned in the show, the General Hospital lab would still have the test on file in case another copy was needed, and Lucas is a doctor with practicing privileges at GH. Might he be concerned enough to try to access those results and delete them?
As General Hospital viewers know, Lucas is too straight arrow to even think about accessing the DNA file on Shiloh and Wiley and delete it, although Brad would in a heartbeat! Lucas, however, may feel like the DNA file might need to be checked to see if someone HAD tampered with or altered it so there would be evidence of such available if needed to continue fighting Shiloh for Wiley’s custody!
Undoubtedly, if Lucas accesses the file and it WASN’T tampered with or altered by one of Shiloh’s “plants”, it will show that Shiloh is NOT the father and then Lucas will have a LOT of questions – probably to Brad, namely if he altered them, as he’s been known to do before, to try to protect Wiley and make sure that he and Lucas keep custody! The DNA results ordered by Shiloh seem to be the most likely item that Lucas might have questions about and need answers!
