General Hospital Spoilers: Kristina And Willow Still In Serious Danger

General Hospital spoilers tease that Kristina Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) and Willow Tate’s (Katelyn MacMullen) fate will soon be revealed. In the meantime though, a lot of fans can’t help but wonder the same thing: did Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) prey on these women because they are weak? Were they simply easy targets for him and Dawn of Day? Here’s what you need to know.

Steven Hassan, M. Ed. LMHC, NCC of the Freedom of Mind Resource Center and founding director and author of the bestseller Combating Cult Mind Control, spoke to ABC Soaps in Depth about cults. 

“It’s a false belief that only stupid and weak people would get into a cult. People lured to a cult are interested in improving themselves, making the world a better place, making money,” Hassan said.

General Hospital Spoilers – Shiloh Archer A Smooth Talker

The one thing that Shiloh has managed to do very well so far is convince everyone that everyone’s roles in Dawn of Day are just as important as his. If there’s one thing that he’s very good at doing, it’s being a smooth talker on top of being manipulative and controlling.

“If you are passionate about something and you spend a lot of your time, energy and money on it, it could be cultish but that doesn’t mean it’s unhealthy,” Hassan further explained.

“You have chosen to be involved, and you are free to leave. Cults use deceptive recruitment and mind control to not only take people over but to program a false identity into them that’s dependent on or obedient to the leader or doctrine.”

General Hospital Spoilers – Time Could Be Running Out

With that being said, it’s clear that Shiloh influence over Kristina and Willow fits all the patterns of a destructive leader. Of course, both Kristina and Willow have their work cut out for them.

With their family and friends desperately trying to get them out of the cult, everyone knows that time is running out. As Hassan explains, love is stronger than mind control.

Sooner or later the buck will stop and Shiloh’s reign will end. At least, that’s what fans are hoping for! Viewers will simply have to tune in to find out what will happen next.
