Ryan’s body still hasn’t been found. So as all soap lovers know, and particularly General Hospital fans, if a body’s not shown, a character’s probably not dead!
A General Hospital promo called “Dante Returns” last week showed Kevin walking down what appears to be a dimly lit hallway. Then someone standing in a doorway at the side sucker punches him and knocks him out. Of course, we all thought it was Ryan but it ended up being Griffin Monroe (Matt Cohen)
Other General Hospital spoilers tease that Ryan could still be back for revenge. Ava Jerome (Maura West) received a phone call with breathing on the other end. Ava thought it might be Ryan. So you never know!
Kevin’s keeping quiet about Ryan’s survival from over 20 years ago had such egregious consequences, with three murders and two serious attacks. And Kevin’s rude awakening may turn out to be that even his best friends, not to mention his wife, will have forsaken him and possibly vilify him nearly as badly as Ryan has been. That would be a rude awakening indeed, not to mention heartbreaking for Kevin.

Longtime General Hospital viewers will recall that after Ryan’s original crime spree and “death” in the funhouse explosion in the mid-1990s, and Kevin’s subsequent psychotic break when he thought he was Ryan and stalked and kidnapped Felicia Scorpio, (Kristina Wagner) Kevin had to pretty much start over.
He lost his medical license and was institutionalized for a period of time. He did write a novel called “General Homicide” during that time. This probably provided him a fairly good living from royalties, since it was a big hit. But it took him a long time to rebuild his reputation, get his medical license back, and rebuild his life and friendships.
Keeping Ryan’s survival a secret may have ruined his life. And if it turns out the person who called Ava was Ryan could he impersonates Kevin yet again, Kevin may NEVER get his life, friend, and reputation rebuilt.
At least this time police will know there’s a possibility of Ryan having survived again and will be on the lookout. Stay tuned to GH and keep checking General Hospital spoilers frequently to see what Kevin’s rude awakening is, if Ryan’s back, and to see if Laura will ever take Kevin back!
