General Hospital spoilers tease that there will be five key takeaways for General Hospital fans to look for in this week’s General Hospital, from Monday, December 30 through Friday, January 3.
Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) is exposed to at least one more person this week as Carly Corinthos, driven nearly crazy by a suspicious Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and all his accusations, finally comes clean to him about what she knows about Nikolas! In the General Hospital sneak peek for this week, she tells him everything about how she encountered Nikolas over at Jasper Jacks’ (Ingo Rademacher) house shortly after Halloween, when she went over there to ask Jax why their daughter, Josslyn Jacks ( Eden McCoy) couldn’t stay with him, Jax kept making all kinds of excuses, and then Nikolas walked in and explained that he had been in hiding the last three and a half years and was back now to take back the Cassadine Estate from Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) after finding out that there was a codicil to Mikkos Cassadine’s (John Colicos) will that disinherited Valentin and he had contacted Jax for help finding it.
Remarkably, Sonny does not react like Carly did, not asking anything about why Nikolas let his son, mother, and sister all think he was dead all this time, whereas Carly bit his head off! All Sonny says in the sneak peek is that the last time he checked, Nikolas is a fugitive and Jax is committing a crime by hiding him! Carly will remain insistent, while Sonny will feel betrayed, and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will doubt Sonny’s motives!
Meanwhile, the fate of the codicil is still unknown – at least to Jax, Carly, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Curtis Ashford, (Donnell Turner) who both set up meetings to discuss strategy and new plans now that the painting of Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) burned up at Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) art auction – minus it’s frame! General Hospital viewers will recall that Ava told Nikolas that he could have the codicil if he met certain conditions, which so far have not been revealed on the show.
But Nikolas hasn’t brought Jax into the loop! Carly and Jax meet at the pier to discuss what the new plan should be, while Curtis calls Laura to set up a meeting with her. Jax will head to Wyndemere.
Now that Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) has been paroled from Pentonville Prison and got to come home on Christmas, Jason and Sam are happy; but for how long? Other General Hospital spoilers tease that Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) will continue to haunt them even from his grave, but by the end of the week, Jason will find himself baffled, and later Attorney Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) will confirm the worst, and Jason will be forced to accept his fate.
With Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) home for a visit, Quartermaine squabbles will be unavoidable! Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) will do his best to be a good dad to his daughter, Brook Lynn Ashton (Amanda Setton), while Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) who is part of both the Corinthos and the Quartermaine families, will have some advice for his girlfriend, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattson) and later will try to distract her.
Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) prepares for her wedding to Valentin, and runs into Sasha, who comes to Valentin’s defense, telling Nina that even though the whole long-lost daughter scheme was a lie, but Valentin did it out of love for Nina and wanting to give her the child she had always wanted. Valentin had previously told Nina he had tried to find her child, but the trail went nowhere and Nina gave up the search, assuming that her mother, Madeline Reeves (Donna Mills) had lied to Valentin and sent him on a wild goose chase.
However, Sasha does make an impression on her, and with her being on the fence about whether to go through with her revenge plan against Valentin or to go through with the marriage, realizing she does love him in a way she never loved anyone else in spite of his glaring flaws, and also taking concern for Charlotte Cassadine, (Scarlett Fernandez) and knowing she will lose her if she gives up Valentin. Jax makes a last ditch effort to help Nina focus more clearly, advising her to give up her revenge plot and simply walk away but will be at a loss when she makes her decision!
