General Hospital spoilers tease that Ava Jerome (Maura West) will get the upper hand, possibly through extreme measures, on an upcoming episode of General Hospital!
Viewers will recall that poor Ava has had a rough time of it for the past year or so, after losing her daughter Kiki Jerome, (Maura West) who she never made up with and alienated, to a murder committed by a man she was involved with at the time – who she thought, as did the rest of Port Charles, was Dr. Kevin Collins, (Jon Lindstrom) who supposedly had grown apart from his wife, Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis) who had to leave and stay with her grandson, Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel) overseas for an extended amount of time while he recovered from a skiing accident overseas. Unfortunately, as Ava and the rest of Port Charles eventually found out, the man she was involved with was serial killer Ryan Chamberlain, Kevin’s twin, who had been assumed dead for over twenty five years! Ryan listened to Ava complain about Kiki breaking up her relationship (or so she thought) with Dr. Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen), and Ryan killed Kiki, thinking he was doing Ava a favor! Ever since that time, Ava has blamed herself for Kiki’s death! If she hadn’t gotten involved with a serial killer, she wouldn’t be dead!
In a recent episode of General Hospital, Ava collapsed in her brother Julian Jerome’s (William DeVry) arms after finding out that Ryan had killed again, in prison, and it was because of her! Viewers will recall that Bryce Henderson, (Brian Gross) the henchman Peter August (Wes Ramsey) had hired to make sure Drew Cain (Billy Miller) didn’t make it to Afghanistan or to Dr. Andre Maddox, (Anthony Montgomery) to get him back on a plane to Port Charles so he could try to reverse the transfer of Drew’s pre-2012 memories from the flash drive that was stolen from Drew’s office and had been put into Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) brain, was killed by Ryan with an ink pen after he had made lewd remarks about Ava when he saw her picture on the wall of their cell. It was the Crimson Magazine cover of the “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Ava”. Ryan had been writing Ava another love letter at the time!
Ava recently started therapy with Dr. Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan) and it sounds like after her initial collapse, when she actually was brought to the hospital and seen by Byrne and Dr. Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes), and majorly acted out, that she has finally gotten the upper hand, although possibly taking extreme measures to do so, over her fears, guilt, and regrets because she finally goes back to her art gallery, which she has left in the hands of her staff since Kiki died. Julian will be glad to see his fierce sister take the reins again over her own life and circumstances!
