General Hospital Recap Wednesday, September 11: Liz and Sam argue – Drew’s plane vanishes

Welcome to your Wednesday September 11th General Hospital (GH) recap! We begin our day outside the PCPD precinct where reporters are grilling Mayor Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) about an avian bird flu breakout.

At Charlie’s Pub, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) walks in with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Charlotte for Rocco’s birthday party.

At a table, Rocco is sitting and his grandpa Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) tells him happy birthday. Sonny spies Valentin and says he’s surprised to see him. Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) says he has a favor to ask him

General Hospital Spoilers – Mayor Laura Spencer is inundated

Mayor Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) reassures reporters that the bird flu has been contained. A reporter asks her if she has any comment on the disappearance of Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller). Laura says she has no new info on Drew Cain’s disappearance and they remain hopeful he will be found.

Jordan Ashford (Brianne Nicole Henry) cuts the interview short and ushers Laura away.

GH Spoilers – Drew Cain’s plane has disappeared

At Aurora Media, Jasper Jax (Ingo Rademacher) tells Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) that he has sent his own rescue plane to examine the wreckage.

Curtis asks about the Cassadine will and what is next for the search. Jax says he needs to explore Spoon Island. Jax wonders where Helena could have hidden the information and he needs an expert who knows her.

General Hospital Spoilers – Elizabeth Webber and Sam McCall face off

At General Hospital (GH) , Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) runs into Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) who says she’s looking for Andre Maddox (Anthony Montgomery). Sam says no body has been found and she is optimistic about Drew.

Elizabeth realizes that Sam does not want Franco to be brought back if Drew has actually died. They begin to bicker as Sam says saving Franco’s life is not worth it. Sam tells Elizabeth she should move on as Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) comes around the corner. Hayden tells Sam to back off her sister and Sam tells her to stay out of it.

GH Spoilers – Frankendrew tries to comfort Kim Nero

In his hotel room at the Metro Court, Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) continues to insist to Kim Nero (Tamara Braun) that his body may be different, but he is Drew Cain. Kim is shocked about the plane crash and does not believe it is true, Franco embraces her.

Kim starts crying and is inconsolable as she falls to the floor. There is a knock at the door and its Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) relaying the news about the crash.

General Hospital Spoilers – Joss catches up with Cameron and Trina

In the Port Charles park, Josslyn Jax (Eden McCoy) hears about the school day she skipped from Cam and Trina. Trina Robinson (Sidney Mikayla) says her cousin Dev is very popular with the girls. Cameron Webber (William Lipton) says that today may have sucked for her but tomorrow can only get better.

GH Spoilers – Its Rocco’s birthday party

At Charlie’s pub, Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) and Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero) are preparing the food for the party. Rocco sits at the table sad and Lulu asks him what’s going on, he says he misses his dad. Lulu says that his dad needs to get better before he can come home.

Lulu and Olivia bicker as she bought Rocco a fake gift from Dante. Olivia sees Dustin and says “who the hell is that?” Lulu introduces Dustin to Olivia and Sonny who both seem annoyed he is there.

General Hospital Spoilers – Valentin Cassadine has a request for Sonny Corinthos

Outside Charlie’s Pub, Valentin tells Sonny they have a common enemy and her name is Cassandra Pierce. Valentin thinks that with Michael in danger that Sonny should eliminate Cassandra.

Nina Cassadine (Cynthia Watros) walks outside to see what they are discussing. Valentin says he needs Sonny to get rid of Cassandra, but he rebukes and says he only works in the coffee business.

GH Spoilers – Wednesday Surprises!

Chase suggests that Franco may have been involved in Andre’s stabbing. Kim defends Frankendrew and tells Chase he can leave.

Laura shows up to the party and brings up the attack on Sasha by Cassandra. She hints that Nina may be responsible.

Hayden jokes that she would beat up Sam, but knows Sam would wipe the floor with her.

Josslyn and Trian show up at the birthday party and realize Dustin is the hot new teacher at school. Curtis shows up at Charlie’s pub and asks Laura to tell him everything she knows about Helena Cassadine…flash to preview
