General Hospital News: Steve Burton Opens Up About Relocating

Steve Burton is making a lot of big changes in his life, but that doesn’t mean General Hospital fans have to worry. And while his character Jason definitely has a lot on his mind in Port Charles, it looks like Steve has recently made a huge decision for both his family and his career. Here’s what you need to know.

In a new interview with ABC Soaps in Depth, the handsome actor tells ABC Soaps in Depth that he and his wife Sheree decided to move back to sunny California with their three children, Makena, Jack, and Brooklyn.

This is despite the fact that the couple announced five years ago that they were looking to make Nashville, Tennessee their “permanent” home.

Yet, as many people know, life happens and plans change. Now that he is back on the General Hospital set several times a week, traveling back and forth from Nashville to Los Angeles turned out to be difficult for him and his family.

He told the publication, “Obviously, we get time off from General Hospital, but when we are taping, I’m doing for our five days a week. Especially before the big breaks like the three-week hiatuses, we tend to shoot a lot! It became a situation where I wasn’t with my family enough.”

That’s when Steve and Sheree decided to back their bags and move their family back to California. And so far, it looks like no one is complaining. He added, “I hate even posting on social media that we live at the beach because people who are buried under snow get so jealous. You really forget how good the weather is in California until you are gone and you come back. I’m not complaining about the weather out here ever again!”
