Maurice Benard, also known as Sonny Corinthos on “General Hospital,” is excited for the release of his memoir in April 2020. The actor also teased some intriguing revelations about his long-time co-star Laura Wright or Carly Corinthos on the show.

In an Instagram post, he shared a photo of him and Wright and captioned, “My BOOK-“Nothing general about it” when I first met @welcometolaurasworld was not on great terms. Why? you have to read the book. Laura came on GH with both guns blazing, Took no prisoners, And made Carly her very own.”

For fans who want to know what Benard is referring to must read the book to find out. The book, which is called “Nothing General About It: Love (and Lithium) Saved Me On and Off General Hospital,” has been published by Harper Collins and is scheduled to be made available on April 7. In the book, the actor recalls how he was medicated, his time when he was institutionalized, and how he struggled to control his maniac episodes while at work. He also highlighted the unconditional love and relentless support of his wife and colleagues during his ups and downs.

He also offers insight and advice for all those who are dealing with stress and mental illness. On a lighter note, the memoir will also showcase 50 photos.
