For fans who want to know what Benard is referring to must read the book to find out. The book, which is called “Nothing General About It: Love (and Lithium) Saved Me On and Off General Hospital,” has been published by Harper Collins and is scheduled to be made available on April 7. He will share how he struggled to succeed in the entertainment industry while overcoming setbacks and breakdowns as well as making his married life work.

In the book, the actor recalls how he was medicated, his time when he was institutionalized, and how he struggled to control his maniac episodes while at work. He also highlighted the unconditional love and relentless support of his wife and colleagues during his ups and downs.

He also offers insight and advice for all those who are dealing with stress and mental illness. On a lighter note, the memoir will also showcase 50 photos.
