General Hospital News: Laura Wright and Maurice Benard Reveal Carly and Sonny’s Future

General Hospital’s Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) seem to have found their happily ever after when they got married. They’ve been strong together and they’ve shown that being married for a long time does not have to be boring. But what do Wright and Benard think should happen to Carly and Sonny next?

In an interview with Soaps In Depth, Wright said the pair were solid: “What’s nice is they can still be the characters you love without having to split them up,” .

There’s also enough conflict between them to spice things up. For instance, Wright points out that they remain the “voice of truth” for each other. Carly would call out Sonny for things that he wouldn’t want to hear and vice versa.

Benard agreed and said: “That’s what I like about it — you can have problems.” He added that they don’t have to be perfect couple. “I don’t mind Sonny being married… but you got to spice it up a bit!”

General Hospital – Is A Love Triangle Coming Up?

Aside from their personal differences, there is a love triangle forming, with Port Charles District Attorney Margaux Dawson (Elizabeth Hendrickson). Dawson was initially going after Sonny for being a mobster, but she soon found a different, admirable side of him and they started to grow closer.

“I don’t know if this is one of those things where Margaux and Sonny have to get physically close,” Benard shared. Margaux and Sonny have become friends, and that’s an emotional relationship.

“I don’t even know where this is going. But if the writers are into writing for Carly, Sonny, and Margaux, I’m all for that. I’m kind of excited about it!” Benard added.

Meanwhile, Carly is now in danger as she became Ryan’s next target. She being hauled in Ryan’s trunk while he escapes town with Ava. What will happen to Carly? Will her pregnancy survive this ordeal? Stay tuned for more updates!
