General Hospital News: Kirsten Storms Attacked Over Weight Gain – Here’s What She Has To Say!

People these days have been extremely vocal about almost everything from politics to entertainment. However, there are instances when the comments made are unwarranted, disrespectful, and downright offensive.

Countless actors have had to deal with this. “General Hospital” star Kirsten Storms, who plays Maxie Jones on the soap, recently dealt with offensive comments. Storms wasn’t able to contain herself and hit back at fans who criticized her health and weight.

It all started when she shared a photo of herself shopping at Target and described the outfit that she was wearing. One of her fans commented that what she shared wasn’t a current picture and another one said that Storms has gained a lot of weight since this photo.

“Details about my health and medical conditions are nobody’s business, so I won’t go into my temporary weight gain to satisfy anyone’s thirst,” Storms replied. “However, I will say that it’s sad to see some people focus only on the status of my body (and when focusing on weight it is never meant in a positive way. ‘Losing’ or ‘gaining’ – it’s a judgement and it’s shameful).

“I’m healthy and I feel good – at ANY size, which is what matters to ME the most. Comments with a snarky undertone only make me feel sad for the person who typed it and I truly hope their life sucks less tomorrow.”

Storms received a slew of support from her real fans and followers. Not only that, fellow “General Hospital” cast member Maurice Benard, who portrays Sonny Corinthos, had something to say.

“Don’t judge until you’ve lived in someone’s shoes Kirsten is not only absolutely beautiful, but more importantly, incredibly brave.” After she responded to the comments, Storm’s post spread across social media, and it gained more than 20,000 likes.

Last year, Kirsten Storms also had to made things clear that she was not pregnant even though her alter ego in “General Hospital” was. She responded to the rumor by posting a photo of herself on Instagram showcasing her flat tummy.

She also said that she loves wearing loose clothes because they’re comfortable. Storms reminded people not to say something online that they won’t say on the street. She also advised people to avoid judging appearance by the photos posted online.
