It looks like some of our favorite daytime television stars are still getting either scammed or are victims of imposters on social media. This time around it’s General Hospital Jon Lindstrom (Ryan Chamberlain), who is letting his fans know that there is a fake account circulating on Twitter with his name on it. Here’s what you need to know.
General Hospital News – Jon Lindstrom Has An Online Imposter
After a fan noticed that there was an additional Jon Lindstrom (who is also an actor, director and screenwriter as well) he alerted the real Jon Lindstrom to let him know. It didn’t take Jon very long to let his followers know as he retweeted the tweet and wrote, “Heads up! This person is not ME. This is an imposter posing as me for reasons unknown. Please remember to check for the blue verified mark on any profile. Thanks!”

Of course, this isn’t the first time that a daytime television star has found out through their eagle-eyed fans that someone is posing as them online. It’s happened to many other stars from not only General Hospital, but Days of Our Lives, The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful.
General Hospital News – Don’t Follow, Block And Ignore!
More often than not these so-called online “imposters” try to use a celebrity’s name to gain access to their details and information or worse, scam their fans. If a “celebrity” (with no blue check mark on their profile) asks you to follow them or worse, donate money to a cause, don’t believe them. There’s a very good chance that they are not only fake, but trying to scam anyone willing to believe that they are a soap star. Believe it or not, it happens more often than you think!
Because Jon Lindstrom is very active on social media, it’s a good thing that the imposter was caught before any further damage could have been done. While there are many things that we love about Jon, one of the things that makes him stand out the most is that he loves to engage with his fans. A day doesn’t go by that he doesn’t thank them for their love and support!
