General Hospital News: James Patrick Stuart Opens Up About All My Children Past And Valentin Cassadine On GH

James Patrick Stuart is known for his role as Valentin Mikkosovich Cassadine in the ABC soap, General Hospital. In a recent interview with Soap Opera Digest, Stuart opened up about his experience as Will on All My Children and as Valentin on General Hospital.

He recalled that before he got the role on All My Children, he was struggling as an actor. He used to go to acting class with the likes of Benecio del Torro and Mark Ruffalo during his first few years in Hollywood.

When he auditioned for the role on All My Children, he remembered there was an earthquake. And despite that, he continued to read his lines, which he thought was why he got the chance to read with Cady McClain in New York.

General Hospital News – Stuart Thought He Was Done With Soap Operas

When he got the part, Michael Knight showed him the ropes, and just when he was getting the hang of it, he was told that his character was set to die. It was a good experience and he is happy that many people still remember him during his stint in AMC as Will.

Moving on to General Hospital. At first, he said he was done with soap operas. But there came a shift in perception and he took the role. He loved everything about GH, especially the people he’s been working with since he made his debut in 2016.

After all the years that he’s been on General Hospital, he’s seen a lot of characters and actors come and go. The latest one is Michelle Stafford, who plays Nina Reeves. According to recent reports, Stafford will be moving back to The Young and The Restless and taking back her former role of Phyllis Summers, who is currently being played by Gina Tognoni.

General Hospital News – Has Appeared In More Than 40 TV Shows

Stuart and Stafford became an onscreen couple in 2016 and they have become close friends ever since. So, it’s not surprising if Stuart is among those who will miss her the most when she leaves.

James Patrick Stuart has been in the industry for a very long time. He’s also been exposed to the world of celebrities since he was young because his father Chad Stuart, was part of the group, Chad & Jeremy. Since 1980, he has appeared in more than 40 TV shows.

These include top rated TV series like Seinfeld, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, The Closer, Bones. Castle, The Mentalist, and Rosewood. He also has a few voice credits including The Penguins of Madagascar (TV show) and Wolverine and the X-MEN.
