General Hospital News: Dominic Zamprogna Talks About Dante’s Return

Avid viewers of General Hospital and fans of Dominic Zamprogna were ecstatic when they found out their favorite actor would return to the soap. Playing the role of Dante Falconeri, Zamprogna was eager to share a few more details about his comeback.

In an interview with That’s Awesome With Steve And Bradford podcast, Zamprogna and other cast members Steve Burton (Jason) and Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) talked about his return. They are  excited, even he’ll only be back for a short time.

“I don’t think they secretly want me back. I think they just want me back for little two-week adventures,” Zamprogna joked. “It’s an amazing gig! We did six episodes, and we got four more. I signed a 10-episode contract. So technically I’m under contract right now!”

General Hospital – Zamprogna Grew Up In Canada

The interview began with Zamprogna talking about his acting background. He shared what it was like growing up in Canada and his acting journey until he landed a gig at General Hospital. He said he was grateful for the role, as it opened up a lot of opportunities for him. He added that during the first decade of his stay in America, he didn’t go out a lot, since he hadn’t made a name for himself yet.

He said he tried his best whenever he did self-tape auditions, but it didn’t help much. In the past few months, things got better. He’s now getting call-backs for jobs. The self-tape auditions he did recently have opened up several acting opportunities and he’s working on several projects outside of General Hospital.

Burton didn’t hesitate to admit that he wants Zamprogna to stay on the show and said that he and other cast members adore him. He believes that he’s is a great actor and is an asset to General Hospital.
