‘General Hospital’ James Patrick Stuart Says Heartfelt Good-Bye To Michelle Stafford

It appears as though this is a switch that no one saw coming! General Hospital star James Patrick Stuart (Valentine Cassadine) has shared his thoughts after finding out that his Port Charles co-star Michelle Stafford (Nina Cassadine) will be making the switch to Genoa City to take over Gina Tognoni’s (Phyllis Summers) role. The handsome actor took to his Twitter account to express just how much he is going to miss working with Michelle.

James and Michelle are not only close co-workers on set, but they also have a great friendship offset, too, which is making this departure pretty hard on the actor. As much as he is excited for her to take on her new role of Phyllis Summers in Genoa City, James is making it pretty clear that she is going to be dearly missed by her General Hospital friends and family.

“I’ve never wanted so much to believe in “fake news,” wrote Stuart shortly after learning of Stafford’s leaving “GH” and returning to “Y&R.”

If that weren’t enough, the multi-lingual actor also shared a message he wrote in French for the actress on Instagram. It read, “Michelle, je t’adore. Merci d’avoir rendu ma vie et mon travail si magiques. Tu vas tellement me manquer.” Translated the message says, “Michelle, I adore you. Thank you for making my life and my work so magical. I will miss you so much.”

And that’s not all! He also shared yet another photo of him and Michelle together and captioned it with, “Its all fun and games… until you lose Michelle Stafford.”

Clearly, there is a lot of love between these two co-stars! It’ll be interesting to see who will replace Michelle as the new Nina in Port Charles. General Hospital airs weekdays on the ABC network.
