It looks like this General Hospital alum is making the big move to primetime. There are new reports that say actor Rick Hearst has clinched a new role in OWN’s soap opera Ambitions.

While there are no details available about Rick’s character, we do know that he will be sharing some scenes with Robin Givens, who plays Stephanie Carlisle in the film. As many fans remember, Rick was best known for his roles as Ric Lansing on General Hospital, Scott Banning on Days of Our Lives, Whip Jones on The Bold and the Beautiful, Carter Mills/Matt Clark on The Young and the Restless and Alan Michael Spaulding on Guiding Light. In other words, Rick was and still is a daytime television legend who knows how to entertain fans well!

The actor also admitted that he usually tends to play characters that all have something very much in common: deceit and revenge, and not to mention dishonesty. Daytime television just wouldn’t be the same without a villain that has those three qualities about him or her, right? Rick Heart is well aware of the fact that each character he has played on the small screen as a go-getter who was willing to do whatever it took to get his way.
