Emmerdale Spoilers: Victoria Continues To Suffer After Heartbreaking Sexual Assault

After the recent revelation on “Emmerdale” that Victoria Barton (Isabel Hodgins) was sexually assaulted by Lee Posner (Kris Mochrie), Hodgins hoped that her alter ego would strike up a friendship with Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry).

Viewers of the soap may recall that Rhona went through the same ordeal when she was raped by her ex-husband Pierce Harris (Jonathan Wrather) in 2017.

With her gruesome experience during the Big Night Out, some viewers of the show are wondering if Victoria will turn to Rhona for support after what she’s been through.

Emmerdale Spoilers – Victoria Barton Returns To The Village

Next week, Victoria is set to return to the village, where she will get support from all her loved ones. She will confide in Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock), Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano), Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter), Ellis Chapman (Asan N’Jie), and Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins).

Additionally, she will also tell her family that she plans to keep her baby. Victoria discovered that she was pregnant after being raped, after she was encouraged by her friends and the police to take a pregnancy test. Her decision does not sit well with Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley).

He thought Victoria wouldn’t proceed with the pregnancy. He’ll find it hard to offer his support to her when he discovers that she’s keeping the baby.

Emmerdale Spoilers – Robert Sugden Has A Problem Dealing

“Robert is trying his best, but he’s making mistakes. He just wants to be there for Victoria and he wants to look after her, but it’s coming across like he’s putting pressure on her which she doesn’t need,” Hodgins explained. “Robert is there for her 100%, but he’s just not doing very well with how to deal with somebody that this has happened with.”

Could Rhona be part of her support group? When asked about the possibility of Victoria and Rhona sharing scenes, Hodgins simply answered, “Not as of yet. I don’t know if that’s going to happen, because only a small amount of people in the village know and she’s not one of those people. But I love Zoe, so further down the line, it would be nice to do some scenes with her.”

On the idea that her alter ego’s ex Adam Barton may return to offer Victoria some support, Hodgins joked: “That’s the dream. Everything I do is so that Adam will come back. If he came in and saved the day, that would be cracking!”
