Emmerdale Spoilers: Liam’s Past Is Explored, Bernice Fears He’s Keeping Secrets

“Emmerdale” is set to explore Liam Cavanagh’s (Jonny McPherson) past amidst Bernice Blackstock’s (Samantha Giles) growing fears that her partner is hiding something. Bernice’s sister Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) is also keeping a close eye on Liam. Just like her sibling Nicola believes he is keeping secrets.

Both women start to have suspicions when the topic about the tragic death of Liam’s first wife is brought up next week. He’ll exhibit some shifty behavior. This will make Bernice and Nicola think  there’s more to the story than he is letting on.

If Bernice’s suspicions are true, viewers of “Emmerdale” will surely be hooked as the show gradually reveals the truth. However, if Bernice is on the wrong track, her doubts about her partner may put a dent in their relationship.

Emmerdale Spoilers – Liam Cavanaugh’s First Wife Died

Liam’s first wife died from anaphylactic shock a few years ago. Viewers may recall that earlier this year, Liam’s current partner, Bernice, also suffered from the same condition.

It was before her 50th birthday when Bernice decided to buy some Botox online. She enlisted Kerry Wyatt’s (Laura Norton) help for injecting it when she suddenly had an allergic reaction to it.

Bernice was then rushed to the hospital and was seen fighting for her life while confined in the intensive care unit. The doctors also said she may suffer permanent facial paralysis.

Liam blamed Kerry for what happened but the latter was also quick to point her finger to Leanna Cavanagh (Mimi Slinger). Bernice’s daughter, Gabby, then lashed out at Leanna for pressuring Kerring into performing the Botox treatment.

Fortunately, Bernice recovered and didn’t show any signs of facial paralysis. This incident was very hard for Gabby, Liam, and Kerry. But Leanna was mostly affected as Bernice’s condition brought back bad memories about her mom who died of the same condition when she was still very young.

A lot of fans praised Giles and “Emmerdale” for Bernice’s Botox horror storyline. It highlighted the risks of using DIY Botox treatment. In a tweet earlier this year, Giles thanked everyone for their positive response to the storyline and uploaded a photo of herself with no makeup.
