Emmerdale: Jacob Pushes David To Breaking Point As He Tries To Contact Maya In Prison

David Metcalfe’s (Matthew Wolfenden) plan to build bridges with his son Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) continues to fail, and he might just reach his breaking point when he receives a call from the prison where Maya Stepney (Louisa Clein) has been incarcerated that his son was trying to contact her.

In a desperate move to rebuild his relationship with his son, David picks up a game controller, sets up an online gaming account, and searches for Jacob’s username. What does David plan to do? Will he be able to get back into Jacob’s life by trying to befriend him online?

Emmerdale Spoilers– Father -Son At Odds Over Maya

In the June 20 episode of “EastEnders,” viewers finally saw Maya get what she deserved when she was sentenced to 12 months in prison as punishment for her crime. The deceitful schoolteacher pleaded guilty to sending an inappropriate text to Jacob, who’s a minor, in hopes that she’d get a more lenient sentence. However, the court decided that she should face a jail sentence.

The judge said, “Your job as a teacher placed you in the highest position of trust over the pupils in your care. Your relationship with Jacob was already compromised by the fact that you were in a serious relationship with his father. Rather than maintain boundaries between home and school, you betrayed your employer, your partner and the young man at the center of this, who was 15 years old when the sexual communication took place. So I am in no doubt that this case passes the custody threshold and while I give credit for the guilty plea, I sentence you to 12 months immediate imprisonment.”

The result of the trial has left Jacob, who still refuses to accept that he was groomed, devastated. Viewers of “EastEnders” may recall that the pair had planned to run away if Maya won’t serve time in prison. However, things didn’t turn out the way they planned.

Next week, fans of the show will see David on the verge of a breakdown as his son continues to blame him for his lost love. David will be pushed to his breaking point when he’s informed that Jacob is trying to contact Maya in prison. Later, Jacob and Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) visits the shop, giving David a chance to talk to his son. But Jacob still feels hurt and storms out of the shop.

Before he follows the teenager, Eric comforts David and tells him he will find a way to get through to him. This prompts David to take some drastic measures as he picks up the game controller, sets up an account, and searches for Jacob’s tag.
