EastEnders Spoilers: Is Bernadette Heading Into A Trap?

EastEnders fans believe that things are looking grim for Bernadette Taylor (Clair Norris). As she tries to move on from heartbreak by trying her luck in an online dating app, viewers believe she is heading for another disaster.

Bernadette finally mustered up the courage to tell her best friend Tiffany Butcher (Maisie Smith) she has feelings for her. However, she realized they could never be more than friends, so she decided to move on and arranged a blind date with a girl she met online.

Tiffany found out about it and offered her support and even helped her prepare. Things did not start well even before she got to the café. At home, her mum Karen (Lorraine Stanley) thought she had bruises on her face, but it was just make up.

As if that wasn’t enough, Bernadette arrived at the café and mistook Habiba (Rukku Nahar) as her blind date. With Habiba’s good nature, she let Bernie down gently. It was a very awkward moment for Bernadette but Habiba encouraged her to stay and wait for her blind date to arrive.

Bernie did stick around but unfortunately, her blind date ditched her. The mystery girl sent her a text message saying she was too shy to meet up. Habiba saw that Bernie was stood up and went over to say something.

“You would have been wasted on her. Someone with your foreign language skills,” Habiba joked. “Listen, don’t let this put you off. You’ll find someone who’s right for you.”

However, some fans think Bernie could be heading for a trap. Many of them believe her blind date could have a hidden agenda that could hurt Bernie in the process. One viewer thinks Bernie’s mystery girl could be Evie (Sophia Capasso).

Some even believe the whole blind date was a set up just so Evie could get back at Bernadette. Viewers will have to wait and see if their theories were spot on or if Bernie was just unlucky.
