EastEnders Alum Jacqueline Jossa Talks About Having Therapy

Jacqueline Jossa, known for her character Lauren Branning on “EastEnders,” was upfront about having therapy and shared about it all in an Instagram post. She also encouraged all those who are troubled to “never be afraid to ask for help.”

In her post last April 10, the former “EastEnders” star shared that she went to see a therapist during her first few episodes in the soap. She told her followers to get professional help if they feel low.

“Put yourself first always. Ask yourself is it serving you or stressing you? Happy hump day. When I started EastEnders when I was 17 years old. (I am now 26) I was lucky enough to be so well looked after and give the care that comes with ‘fame’ and what not,” she wrote.

“I went to therapy when I needed it and even when I didn’t feel I needed it and turns out, it always comes in handy and doesn’t mean you’ve lost the plot. It means you are in control of your feelings and owning your stuff! Never be afraid to ask for help or even just go for a chat.”

The actress added that people don’t necessarily have to go through terrible times to seek guidance. She said most people focus on their physical appearance but tend to neglect their mental and emotional health.

Most of the time, these feelings are stored in boxes, kept away, and forgotten. She also mentioned saying sorry since doing so will set you free. People should also learn to forgive. As a final note, she emphasized that talking to a therapist does not mean a person is not well.

On a different note, Jacqueline Jossa also had something to say about the reports that she took off her wedding ring following rumors that she and Dan Osborne had split up. The break up was reportedly due to her husband getting too close with Alexandra Cane. Jossa cleared things up and said in her Instagram post that she was wearing her wedding ring. They can’t see the ring because it was her right hand in the photo.

Jossa won many awards and earned several nominations for her impeccable acting skills. In 2012, she won the Best Newcomer category in the National Television Awards and Best Actress in the Inside Soap Awards in 2013.
