Did Michelle Obama Snub Queen Elizabeth?

They might have looked like they were forming a fast friendship when they first met several years ago, but former First Lady Michelle Obama’s most recent comments about Queen Elizabeth has a few people raising their eyebrows.

As a matter of fact, a lot of critics can’t help but wonder if Michelle Obama might have snubbed the first lady in comments that she made during a recent Beat the Odds summit. Here’s what she had to say.

Did Obama Snub The Queen?  According to the UK’s Express.co.uk, Obama spoke to about 100 college bound students this past week as part of an annual tradition that began in the White House as part of her Reach Higher initiative.

The 55-year-old wife of former President Barack Obama tried to lift up the students by telling them to aim higher in their lives, but at the same time seemed to snub some of the most important and influential people in the world, including Queen Elizabeth.

The event was held at Princeton University. Obama explained that a lot of the higher-ranking people that she’s met in her life aren’t “any smarter than you,” while she referenced some of the world leaders she has spoken with in the past.Obama said, “You always think that somebody else knows more than you do. I’ve been at probably every powerful table there is to be at. I have been on boards with some of the top CEOs. I’ve had dinner with the frickin’ Queen! I’ve been to the summit of world leaders. They’re not smarter than you. I’ve met these people.”

Obama also cautioned the students about their mental health and said that taking care of both their minds and their body will better help them reach the success that they deserve in their lives.She explained, “In order to have good mental health, it’s not just counselling. It’s trying to live a balanced life.
