DiMera is permanent; and Brandon Barash is officially the new Stefan! There is no word on why Tyler’s exit has become permanent; it started out as temporary, “for personal reasons”.

Some Tyler fans have said he was having shoulder surgery, but he never confirmed it publicly on any of his social media, although he did cancel an appearance he was supposed to do at a fan event with Greg Vaughn (Eric Brady), as reported by his fans.

Neither has Brandon confirmed anything publicly on any of his social media; most of his posts are about his darling daughter with General Hospital actress Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones); Harper!

Neither is there any official word on what Tyler is doing in the acting world, although IMDB.com shows a movie called “Unhallowed” where he plays a doctor named, of all things, “Dr. Luke Kiriakis!” This could be confusing to DAYS fans!

However, other information shows he has the starring role as a doctor supposedly reincarnated from the apostle Luke of Biblical fame, but matters from the supernatural world supersede the doctor’s control.

It is listed as a thriller that could be described as a cross between “Rosemary’s Baby” and “The Exorcist”. There is no release date listed. It’s possible Tyler left DAYS to work on this movie, although unconfirmed. Tyler of course previously played Nikolas Cassadine on General Hospital for many years, although with several absences in between where Nik was off the GH canvas.

Brandon Barash played Johnny Zacchara on General Hospital for many years, as well as appearances in TV series such as “Timeless”, “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders”, “Scorpion”, “Lucifer” and “The Last Ship”. Sources say his debut as Stefan Octavius DiMera on “Days of Our Lives” will be in March, 2019.

General Hospital Spoilers – Stefan Headed To Jail?

A current storyline has Stefan being arrested for corporate espionage, so the possible outcome may be that he enters jail or prison for a time as Tyler and returns as Brandon! Keep watching Days of Our Lives and checking Days of Our Lives spoilers frequently to see the latest developments!
