Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Steve Vindicated – Rafe Arrests Stefan For Espionage!

Days of our Lives spoilers tease that by the end of the week, Steve “Patch” Johnson (Stephen Nichols) is well on the way to being vindicated with the arrest of Stefan DiMera (Tyler Christopher) for espionage, by Rafe Hernandez! (Galen Gering). However, this may not mean an impending return of Steve to the DAYS canvas.

In a tweet from December 28, 2018, Stephen Nichols wants to know what Adrienne Kiriakis’ (Judy Evans-Luciano) conversation to his character was all about and who the other woman was in the scene (Sarah Horton, played by Linsey Godfrey). Since DAYS films six months at a time, he’s obviously not been called back to work, so that means Steve Johnson will remain off the canvas, although still mentioned, for right now, unless Stephen gets a call later in the new year.

This doesn’t mean Tyler’s gone for good either, as some fans think; even though former General Hospital’s Johnny Zacchara, actor Brandon Barash was reported quite a while ago as stepping into Stefan’s role, word is that Tyler had shoulder surgery and that was the reason for the recast. Tyler’s social media still shows him doing appearances with Greg Vaughn (Eric Brady). DAYS viewers may soon see Brandon as Stefan soon.

Adrienne was giving her brother Steve both barrels about being released from prison and staying away to vindicate himself from the espionage accusations. As DAYS viewers will recall, when Steve got his bionic eyes, Stefan used them to download sensitive corporate information, which is where the corporate espionage charges came from. Rafe’s arrest of Stefan must mean that Steve got enough proof that will stand up in court. Adrienne, as many DAYS fans and Stephen Nichols himself also feels, thinks Steve can do just as well of a job in Salem with his family!

Time will tell if Steve Johnson comes back to the DAYS canvas to mend his relationship with his wife Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) and his son Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) and if Stefan DiMera (Tyler Christopher, Brandon Barash) beats the charges or goes away for a while between Tyler’s and Brandon’s portrayals of him.
