Days of Our Lives spoilers for Wednesday, August 14 finds Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) confronting Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves) about an article that she wrote about him.

Eve Deveraux (Kassie de Paiva) decides to cover her tracks while Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) is putting the pieces of the mystery together on his own. Here’s what you need to know.

It begins with Jack approaching Jennifer about a scathing article that she wrote about him and his job so far as the mayor of Salem. And to put it lightly, she didn’t have very good things to say about him. Jack doesn’t get why Jennifer has such a grudge over him and why she’s taking it out on him in public, no less.

Jennifer defends herself and says she’s simply reporting what she sees. Clearly, she’s moving on and not even trying to win Jack back, knowing that without his memories he’s a loss cause. Or at least, that’s what she believes.

Meanwhile, Jack’s soon-to-be ex-wife Eve Donovan is cooking up a plan of her own. There’s no way that Jack is going to embarrass her the way that he did and get away with it. At least not on Eve’s clock. Eve decides that she should hire Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) to represent her in court.

Eve might end up hitting Jack where it hurts the most, as he not only threw her under the bus by firing her as the police commissioner, but is also pulling the plug on their marriage. Clearly, there’s a conflict of interest here and Eve plans on taking full advantage of it.

Speaking of police commissioner duties, Ben seems to be doing a pretty good job at it, despite the fact that he’s not on the payroll. After Anna dropped a bombshell Ben started investigating things and now all signs point to Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker). It doesn’t take very long for Ben to recruit his girlfriend Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) and together, the two of them begin digging for clues.

The two manage to catch Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) making a shady deal and want answers from her. Meanwhile, Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) and John Black (Drake Hogestyn) poke Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) on anything he might know about the death of Ted Laurent (Gilles Marini).

Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) is also sick of Nicole and her bizarre behavior and before she knows it, the two have their claws out for each other.
