When Dr. Rolf held Hope hostage, he made it clear that she was being forced to pay the price. It has to do with what happened to Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo). At the time the episode aired, fans were led to believe that Dr. Rolf was seeking justice for his former boss. After all, the mad scientist was loyal to the villain for decades.

However, more recent information seems to suggest that Dr. Rolf might have been acting under someone else’s orders.

On the official DOOL app, actor William Utay spoke about his character, Dr. Rolf. In the two-part interview, he discussed the sinister scientists past. It was explained that in the beginning, Dr. Rolf never came up with schemes on his own. His only role was to make sure that Stefano DiMera’s plans were completed successfully.

This seems to indicate that someone else might be responsible for Princess Gina’s return.

DOOL Spoilers – A DiMera Responsible?

Even though soap legend Joseph Mascolo has passed away, his character lives on. Stefano is alive out there somewhere. Most likely, he is laying low in Europe. He very well could be part of the storyline without fans actually seeing him.

DOOL spoilers also tease the possibility that another DiMera is responsible for Hope’s transformation into Princess Gina. Mind control is being used on the character. Who besides Stefano would be angry enough to demand that Hope suffer for her sins?

We are thinking that it might be a DiMera we haven’t met yet. Someone who Stefano has taken under his wing. A person who is loyal to the patriarch and who is acting on his behalf. The question is, when will meet this rumored new DiMera?
